Surprise Dodgers Pitcher With Team Hinting at Roster Move, Potentially Injured List

JP Feyereisen nêu chi tiết những điểm tương đồng giữa Tampa Bay Rays và Dodgers, sự phát triển của sân bóng và nhiều hơn nữa

Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen is with the team at Dodger Stadium ahead of their three-game series against the Athletics, hinting at a roster move.

Feyereisen is only eligible to be called up if someone is going on the injured list, paternity list or bereavement list, as he was optioned within the last 15 days.

J.P. Feyereisen is here in LA. Could only be called up if someone is going on the IL/paternity/bereavement list.

With the past pitching injuries for this Dodgers team, it would certainly not be out of the realm of possibilities that there is another IL stint awaiting the ailed pitching roster.

Feyereisen first made his way to the Dodgers by way of a trade with Tampa Bay Rays for southpaw Jeff Belge ahead of the 2023 campaign. Shoulder surgery in his throwing arm landed Feyereisen on the 60-day injured list as he was activated during the 2024 offseason.

He made 33 appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma City that season with a 5.48 ERA over 42.2 innings pitched. He would pitch in 10 games for the Dodgers in 2024, throwing nine strikeouts to five walks in 11 innings.

After electing free agency before the 2025 campaign began, he ended up with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He threw 9.1 Triple-A innings and would pitch in just two major innings before he was DFA’d.

He was promptly claimed off of waivers by the Dodgers and began his second stint with the team.

His sole appearance for L.A. was forgettable at best as he faced just three batters, allowed two hits and earned a loss without recording an out before being optioned back to Oklahoma City.

Perhaps now, whatever the circumstances may be for him rejoining the team, he can have a much better 2025 showing with the Dodgers.
