With the 2025 NFL Draft completed, the New England Patriots addressed several roster needs on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
After the dust settled, New England made 11 picks across seven rounds and still found a way to add depth at the quarterback position within moments of closing the book on the draft. The Patriots reportedly signed undrafted signal-caller Ben Wooldridge out of Louisiana, the school announced.
Wooldridge started his college career at Fresno State, appearing in five games over two seasons before missing the entire 2021 season. He transferred to Louisiana for his final three collegiate seasons.
The 6-foot-3, 216-pound QB appeared in 29 games with the Bulldogs and Ragin’ Cajuns and completed 60.9% of his passes (381 of 626) for 4,769 yards, 38 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also rushed 134 times for 461 yards and nine touchdowns. Wooldridge finished the 2024 campaign with 2,435 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and six interceptions.
