The Green Bay Packers still have some loose ends to tie up ahead of training camp, but it’s unsure whether or not they’ll get it done.
There’s a scenario that the Packers start training camp without three of their top offensive linemen set to go.
At the moment, offensive tackle Zach Tom’s deal is predicted to be settled before the start of the regular season. After the 2025-26 season, Tom will walk a free agent.
It’s possible that he’ll hold out on practicing until his new contract is put together.

Tom isn’t the only one.
Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins fist bumps quarterback Jordan Love.
Ken Ingalls posed a potentially brewing disaster involving Tom and two other offensive linemen ahead of training camp.
“[Second] round pick Anthony Belton remains unsigned. Elgton Jenkins could continue his contract dispute into a holdout/in. Don’t rule out [Tom] not practicing without a new deal,” Ingalls wrote on X.
Contract uncertainty has been looming over the Packers in the offseason.
Now with Jenkins being forced to play center, though this isn’t the root of the problem, Aaron Banks’ four-year, $77 million contract is pushing Jenkins into a financially unsure position.
His current deal, which he has two years remaining on, is a four-year, $68 million extension.
It was initially signed with the intention of Jenkins remaining at guard or putting him in a financially competitive position if he were to transition to tackle — not center.
Playing center can hurt his chances of landing a bigger deal in the future, especially given that centers make much less than what Jenkins’ path was leading him towards.
At the moment, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Jenkins is waiting for the Packers “to make it more financially stable” to switch positions.
Belton is another element to this potential dark cloud over training camp.
The rookie has yet to sign his contract.
Though this isn’t unheard of as Jayden Higgins and Carson Schwesinger are the only second round picks from the 2025 NFL Draft to sign their deals, those two signed fully-guaranteed contracts. It’s creating a chaos for the 29 other teams with unsigned, second round rookies.
Both Tom and Belton haven’t given Green Bay any inkling as to their absence in training camp, but it’s still possible that one, two, or all three hold out.
The Packers’ training camp begins Wednesday, July 23, and only time will tell if Tom, Jenkins, and Belton will hit the field to start.
