Henriquez made his major league debut in the final week of the 2024 regular season and was active in the first two rounds of the postseason. It marked a triumphant return from missing all of 2023 after Tommy John surgery, a path that saw him start last season in Low-A Rancho Cucamonga and pitch at all four minor league affiliates on his way to the majors.

The 22-year-old right-hander joins a list of Dodgers relief pitchers who won’t be available to start the season, along with Evan Phillips, Michael Kopech, and Michael Grove.

Henriquez pitched in three Cactus League games so far this spring, with four runs allowed and two strikeouts in his 2⅓ innings, including five walks among his 13 batters faced. He last pitched on Saturday, tossing a perfect inning against the Giants.
