BREAKING: NFL Makes Announcement About Key Highlight of Patriots-Chargers Week 17 Game

The Week 17 matchup between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers game will be played at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 28. It was made official by the NFL on Tuesday.

The league announced a triple-header, which also features matchups between the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals, along with the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.

This will be the third time the Patriots and Chargers have faced one another in the last four seasons. It was a defense-dominated game when they met last season with the Patriots dropping a 6-0 loss at home.

This will be another tough matchup for the Patriots sandwiched in between two meetings with the Buffalo Bills. A win over the Chargers would go a long way toward New England building some positive momentum before the end of the season.

It would also tie or even surpass the Patriots’ overall win total from last season under Belichick, depending on what happens in Week 16 against the Bills.
