The Los Angeles Dodgers have designated reliever Luis Garcia for assignment ahead of Sunday’s series finale against the Kansas City Royals.
In a corresponding move, the Dodgers recalled Noah Davis. He was part of the taxi squad Saturday.

Garcia leaves the Dodgers organization with a 5.27 ERA with 24 strikeouts and 1.829 WHIP across 27.1 innings of work this season. On Saturday, the right-hander allowed three earned runs in his final outing with L.A. Garcia could not finish the inning, recording just one out against the Kansas City Royals.
The Dodgers deployed Anthony Banda to get out of the seventh inning jam.
Garcia, 38, recently rejoined the Dodgers after landing on the injured list on June 1 with a right adductor strain.
The veteran is in his 13th Major League season, spending time with the Philadelphia Phillies (2013-18), Los Angeles Angels (2019,2024), Texas Rangers (2020), St. Louis Cardinals (2021), San Diego Padres (2022-23), Boston Red Sox (2024) and Dodgers (2025).
The Dodgers signed Garcia to a one-year deal last offseason.
