UNBELIEVABLE: More proof surfaced proving Steelers duped the Cowboys in George Pickens trade

We’re all still laughing.

If you think the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t completely fleece the Dallas Cowboys in yet another genius wide receiver trade, think again.

At this point, it’s an art form.

The Steelers’ trading of George Pickens to Dallas has received plenty of reactions, but there are many who believe Pittsburgh won this trade, hands down.

It isn’t hard to see why, either. This move was a long time coming. It was only a matter of time before the team parted with the fiery personality.

I have a feeling we will only continue to see similar reactions, too, as ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler just provided even more proof that the Cowboys were completely duped by Pittsburgh.

George Pickens is likely one-and-done with the Cowboys

“Fascinating one-year experiment. Source says the Cowboys’ plan is for Pickens to play out his rookie deal,” Fowler posted.

On one hand, the Cowboys would get a compensatory pick if they let Pickens go and sign with another team after 2025. But, so do the Steelers. Essentially, it’s a wash.

But, do we really believe Pickens is suddenly going to be the piece that propels the Cowboys to a Super Bowl?

Absolutely not. This trade could be labeled a “wash,” or we could be even more blatant and call it what it really is: meaningless.

The Steelers were able to get out from beneath a difficult situation while netting a Day 2 pick in the process. That, in and of itself, is pretty incredible. Had the Steelers settled for even a fourth rounder, this trade wouldn’t look as good.

But, the league knew Pittsburgh wanted to get rid of Pickens and still, the Cowboys gave up precious draft capital to acquire him in what will end up being a one-year rental or experiment; however you’d like to describe this.

Pittsburgh says ‘good riddance’ while Cowboys fans are left thinking, ‘what’s the point?’
