A Massachusetts mansion once owned by American musician Taylor Swift went on sale this week for a whopping $14.5 million.
The waterfront residence overlooks the famous Kennedy compound in Cape Cod and boasts 200 feet of private beach. Swift had purchased the residence for just under $5 million in 2012 and owned it for a little more than a year.
According to reports, the residence has now hit the market for $ 14.5 million after undergoing extensive renovations.
The seven-bedroom home is located in the village of Hyannis Port and sits on an elevated bluff adjacent to the beach. The property was originally built in the 1920s and every room in the over 5,000 sq ft home is oriented towards the water.
“Offered furnished, the home’s interiors are a curated collection chosen to echo the character of Cape Cod while elevating it with understated sophistication. Completing the estate is a three-car garage, guest quarters, a circular drive for elegant arrivals, and private access to a secluded beach that feels worlds away yet is just minutes from the best of Cape Cod,” adds a Zillow listing for the mansion.
The Grammy-winning singer and songwriter currently holds an extensive real estate portfolio worth around $100 million — from a New York City compound to a Rhode Island mansion that featured in one of her songs.
Swift made her first major purchase at just 20 years old with a luxury penthouse condo in an upscale Nashville building.
There are unverified reports which suggest that she also owns property in the UK, dropping £10 million for a mansion in north London that now serves as her ‘European base’.
