N’Keal Harry has had trouble sticking with a team.
The wide-receiver-turned-tight-end was released from the Seattle Seahawks practice squad on Tuesday, less than a month after signing with the NFC team. He didn’t appear in a game for the Seahawks this season.
Harry’s time in the NFL has been a struggle. and the 2019 New England Patriots first-round draft pick’s time in New England didn’t go as planned.
He struggled to stay healthy and didn’t reach the end of his rookie contract as the Patriots declined his fifth-year option.
The Chicago Bears then acquired Harry in 2022 for a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He appeared in seven games after a stint on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
Harry also had a difficult start to 2023. After signing with the Vikings that August, they elected to release him just 18 days later.
Harry re-signed with the team’s practice squad in September and elevated Oct. 11. He was released again 10 days later.
While with the Vikings, Harry switched from wide receiver to tight end — a move he was “fired up” about. He played in nine games for Minnesota due to injuries to Justin Jefferson.
It’s unclear if Harry will draw any interest from other teams, or if he’ll end up back on Seattle’s practice squad.
