RUSSELL WILSON made his feelings known about leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wilson, 36, spent just one season with the Steelers, reaching the NFL playoffs.
But after losing to the Baltimore Ravens, Wilson left.
The quarterback has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the New York Giants, who were fed up of Daniel Jones.
And he will be paid up to a whopping $21million for his services.
Wilson can expect to face competition from Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito when the new season gets underway later in the year.
Winston arrives from the Cleveland Browns in a two-year $8m contract.
But in the meantime, veteran Wilson has taken to social media after joining the Giants.
He posted a picture of the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on X.
Wilson captioned the post: “Been here before… can’t wait to do it again.”
And that was a clear reference to the crushing Super Bowl XLVIII victory he spearheaded for the Seattle Seahawks against the Denver Broncos in February 2014.
Wilson’s wife and pop star Ciara added: “New York State of Mind! My greatest inspiration.”

However, it has been reported that Wilson was actually reluctant to leave Pittsburgh.
According to reporter Gerry Dulac, the superstar wanted to stay with the franchise “right until the very end” and hoped to extend his contract.
But when that was not forthcoming, he became a free agent when his short-term deal with the Steelers expired as it is reported they will go after Aaron Rodgers as his replacement.
The Giants swooped to land Wilson, though.
And they will strengthen even further with the No3 pick in the NFL Draft next month – and could target Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur as they look for a signal caller.
