BREAKING!! Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Is Close to Deal with New Team for 2025

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers once thought that he would spend his entire career with the organization that drafted him all the way back in 2005.

However, the same fate that befell his predecessor, Brett Favre, befell him as well.

The Packers drafted another young quarterback, Jordan Love, in 2020, signaling that Rodgers’ future in Green Bay had an end date, and one that he could not choose for himself.

Of course, that end came when Green Bay traded the four-time NFL MVP to the New York Jets following the 2022 NFL season.

Though he had seriously considered retirement that offseason, Rodgers did not want his future determined by anyone other than himself, hence why he was traded. He wanted to play longer so that he himself could decide when his time had come.

As fans of both the Packers and Jets are aware, the trade did not work out so well for Rodgers and New York.

After a 2023 offseason that was brimming with hope for the beleaguered Jets franchise, it all came crashing down with the snap of the future Hall of Fame quarterback’s Achilles.

Rodgers missed all but the first four offensive snaps of 2023 due to the injury, but was determined to return in 2024 and lead New York back to the NFL Playoffs.

And never one to allow a team to determine the outcome of his football career, Rodgers has decided that he will play again in 2025. While he wanted that to be with the Jets, the fact of the matter is that they are going to release him as a post-June 1 cut.

But that being said, he can still negotiate with other NFL teams. And according to one NFL insider, he is close to an agreement with the New York Giants:

“From my understanding right now… they are pretty significantly down a road where they are negotiating to the point where, if Rodgers ends up a Giant before the start of the league year, it would not be a shock to people in this area and at the Meadowlands,” Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com said on The Pat McAfee Show Thursday.
