Former Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby, who will speak with reporters Friday when he officially retires from the NFL as a member of the Green Bay Packers, posted a thank-you note to Packers fans on social media in advance of the occasion.
“Retiring as a Packer is my way of saying that even though I may now live in another state, I am still that ambassador,” Crosby said in part of the message posted to X. “But now instead of you cheering me on, it is my turn to champion and celebrate what all is being accomplished in Wisconsin. You will continue to hear and see me around, doing what I can to shine the spotlight on all the amazing things that happen in the area and also helping vital groups in the community.”
Crosby spent 16 seasons in Green Bay and stands as the franchise’s all-time scoring leader. He played in three games for the New York Giants last year and did not play this season; he currently hosts a radio show on 105.7 and 1250 AM The Fan in Milwaukee.
