Patriots Linked to $7.5 Million Pro Bowl Blocker

Patriots news: New England 'doesn't have an offense', says ex-staffer - Pats Pulpit
The New England Patriots need boosts on the offensive line, and the team has a recent Pro Bowler on the radar.

Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reported on Sunday that Baltimore Ravens’ offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley is “among the Patriots’ top targets” in free agency. Similarly, NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry has seen it, too.

“One name that we all should be looking at and that has been linked quite a bit to the Patriots and the people that I’ve spoken to is Ronnie Stanley,” Perry told 98.5 The Sports Hub on Sunday at the NFL Combine. “And that’s obvious, right? He’s the best tackle on the (free agent) market. It’s a huge, massive area of need.”

Stanley has the qualifications amid a Pro Bowl appearance in 2024, and he previously made first team All-Pro and the Pro Bowl in 2019. The nine-year veteran has had 104 career starts with the Ravens, and he started all 17 games last year.

Stanley helped the Ravens rush for 187.6 yards per game, and he helped the offensive line give up only 24 sacks all season. Pro Football Focus gave Stanley a 71.0 overall grade and only credited him with two sacks allowed. He also committed only 13 penalties amid 1,089 snaps played in 2024.

While he made $7.5 million with the Ravens in 2024, he will command more on the open market in free agency. Spotrac projects him for $20.7 million annually or a two-year, $41.33 million contract.
