The Dallas Cowboys know the territory well … while the Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants might just now be figuring it out.

With the Rams franchise wanting Cooper Kupp out, and the possibility of Matthew Stafford going as well, we might have found out the reason why Stafford’s name has been mentioned as a trade possibility …

His wife. Kelly Stafford has been rather vocal about several issues this offseason, most notably the Kupp trade and even her husband’s future, which, per FS1’s Colin Cowherd, the Rams aren’t happy with.

“The Rams like Matt Stafford, but they’re tiring of the constant quarterback talk, his wife saying things publicly,” Cowherd said on The Herd via the New York Post.

“They’re not real happy with Cooper Kupp going public with something they tried to keep quiet …

They’re kinda over Cooper Kupp, and with that, a little bit Matt Stafford. They like him, but they don’t want to restructure his deal and give him a new contract.”

We can debate if the brothers’ outspokenness on social media has affected the Dallas locker room in a negative way. But it darn sure hasn’t helped.

Kelly isn’t shy in the public space and isn’t afraid to say what she really feels, and this reportedly has irked the Rams, and who knows, it might be a reason why Stafford’s future in L.A. is now in doubt.

The New York Giants are considering a trade for Stafford – Matthew, not Kelly. But if they get him?
