The Oregon football team will have to replace one of its key assistant coaches following reports Sunday that receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Junior Adams is leaving to join the Dallas Cowboys in the same role.

Adams, who spent three seasons as the Ducks’ wide receivers coach, will join Cowboys’ first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s staff. At Oregon, Adams helped develop several future NFL receivers and all-conference players, including Troy Franklin and Tez Johnson. Adams also consistently recruited at a high level, bringing in five-star receivers like Jurrion Dickey and Dakorien Moore.

Before Oregon, Adams recruited and coached future NFL Draft picks at Washington in Rome Odunze, Jalen McMillan and Ja’Lynn Polk, and he coached Cooper Kupp at Eastern Washington.
