NFL Breaking: Patriots Appeals To Mike Vrabel Should Also Apply To Free Agents

The New England Patriots landed the right coach for the job in Mike Vrabel to take over at the helm and redirect the franchise.

Patriots Formally Introduce Mike Vrabel As the 16th Head Coach in Team History

Vrabel becomes the 16th head coach in franchise history and has the tools to restore the Patriots to prominence with a franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, the No. 4 overall pick and $130 million in cap space.

It’s easier said than done given how much work the Patriots need, but the encouraging part is the tools needed to fix the franchise are there for the taking.

That appealed enough to get Vrabel back in the building for the first time as a head coach.

Those same tools should create the blueprint of how to turn New England back into a free-agent destination.

The Patriots have the money to spend but still need to show top targets why they should choose New England over already-established contenders in the current state of the NFL.

Vrabel is a major boost to that presentation as an established head coach who’s already found success around the league.

From there, free agents need to be sold on the aforementioned tools: a young talented quarterback to play alongside, more talent coming in the draft and the funds to reward players with deals and add multiple talents this signing period.

The Patriots, despite eight combined wins in the last two seasons, have appeals to bring in talents. Their newest appeal in a quality head coach must hit home with that pitch when the tampering period begins
