Former Green Bay Packers Playoff Hero Savagely Trolls Justin Jefferson, Vikings

The Green Bay Packers saw their 2024 NFL season come to a premature end. While they made the postseason as the seventh seed for the second year in a row, they were unable to overcome their own self-inflicted mistakes and mental errors in their 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round.

And, of course, rival fans were thrilled to see Green Bay lose. The Packers, who went 1-5 in the NFC North, became the first of the three teams from their division to be eliminated from the NFL Playoffs.

However, they certainly were not the last.

A day after the Packers lost to the Eagles, one of their NFC North rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, were absolutely dominated by the Los Angeles Rams.

After winning 14 games in the regular season, the Vikings mustered just nine points on offense while allowing quarterback Sam Darnold, who will be a free agent this offseason, to get sacked nine times.

Of note, Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who became the highest-paid player at his position when he signed a four-year $140 million extension this offseason ($35 million a year) had just five receptions for 58 yards.

It was just the second time he appeared in an NFL Playoff game in his career, and his first was not that memorable either. He had seven receptions for just 47 yards back in 2022.

As one can see, Jefferson has 12 catches for 105 yards in his two career playoff games. Janis, who had a brief four-year NFL career, boasted that he has better postseason stats with seven receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns.

Of course, most of those came in one game, the 2016 Divisional Round, which the Packers lost 26-20 to the Arizona Cardinals. In that game, Janis caught a 60-yard pass with less than a minute to go and the Packers starting from their own four-yard line.

After that, he then caught a 41-yard Hail Mary that sent the game into overtime.

Janis also broke some ribs on that play.

Still, it became one of the most memorable clutch performances by a wide receiver in recent Packers history.
