UPDATE NEWS: Roki Sasaki Will Sign with the New York Yankees

One of the biggest free agents in MLB History, and potentially the best Japanese Prospect ever, Roki Sasaki has a ton of suitors waiting on him. There’s rumors swirling everywhere about him joining potentially the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and others, but one team stands out in particular: The New York Yankees. This is a PREDICTION, not a REPORT!

The Yankees whiffed on Yoshinobu Yamamoto last offseason, but could change their entire trajectory by shelling out the bank for Sasaki. The fact that the Yankees got to the World Series last year shouldn’t be enough, and losing Juan Soto should push this team to do whatever it takes to improve.

The Dodgers have fast-changed the way that baseball is viewed, and if the Yankees want to avoid looking at a championship while sitting in the dugout, Sasaki needs to be made a massive priority. One of Sasaki’s idols is Masahiro Tanaka who played for the Yankees, and adding to a pitching staff with Gerritt Cole and Max Fried could make for an absurd trio.
