The Green Bay Packers have a tall task in front of them as they prepare to go on the road for the second year in a row in begin their journey in the NFL Playoffs. Obviously, the hope is that, like last season, Green Bay can pull off a tremendous upset over the second-seeded team in the NFC, as they did when they beat the Dallas Cowboys last season.
Of course, that task seems even more unlikely than it did a year ago when the 9-8 Packers, who scraped into the postseason by the skin of their teeth, beat the 12-5 cowboys. This season, at 11-6, Green Bay faces the Philadelphia Eagles who, at 14-3, are heavily favored to win.
What is more, the Packers have been dealing with some rather significant injuries over the past few weeks. Fortunately, it sounds like they are getting three of their starters back right on time.
Quay Walker, Evan Williams, and Romeo Doubs Return to Practice for the Green Bay Packers
The Packers, unfortunately, will not have two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander for the remainder of the year. He is recovering from surgery to repair a torn PCL that he suffered in Week Eight.
They will also be without wide receiver Christian Watson, who tore his ACL in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears. Not only will he be out for the remainder of the playoffs, but he could miss the start of the 2025 NFL season as well.
Fortunately, however, the Packers are perhaps getting three starters back who have previously been out with various ailments.
On Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reported that safety Evan Williams, linebacker Quay Walker, and wide receiver Romeo Doubs returned to practice.

All three players missed Sunday’s loss to Chicago. Walker has been out for weeks with an ankle injury, Williams has missed time with a hurt quad, and Doubs got sick the night before the Bears game.
Hopefully Green Bay can get all three of them back as they take on the heavily favored Eagles.
