On paper, the Yankees’ 2025 outfield appears set, with Aaron Judge in right, Cody Bellinger in center and Jasson Dominguez in left. However, two Yankees prospects will have the opportunity to take left field from Dominguez come spring training: Spencer Jones and Everson Pereira.
Currently, left field is Dominguez’s to lose. He’s the Yankees’ No. 1 prospect, per MLB.com, and he’ll reach the ripe age of 22 years old on Feb 7. Also, he’s already given Bombers decision-makers a glimpse of his potential power.
Over two cups of coffee with the Yankees in the last two years, he’s crushed six homers in just 87 at-bats. His .207/.310/.437 slash line will need to go up, but he’s ready for his shot at the MLB level.
However, the Yankees’ No. 2 prospect, Jones, might have something to say about that. The 23-year-old is a better defender than Dominguez, who displayed a worrying lack of defensive ability at times last season.
If Dominguez continues his sloppy outfield play in the spring and Jones has a strong offensive showing, left field could go to the elder prospect. And the Vanderbilt product has a strong bat, as he’s drilled 37 long balls while slashing .270/.344/.456 in 1055 MiLB at-bats.

But Jones isn’t the only threat to Dominguez. The Bombers’ No. 10 prospect, Everson Pereira, is also ready to make a splash in the Bronx.
Despite a poor showing in his first MLB experience last season (.151/.233/.194 with no HRs), Pereira, 23, has big-time offensive potential. As a 20-year-old, he amassed 20 dingers in just 49 games in the lower levels of the Yankees’ farm system. And in 40 games at triple-A in 2024, he put 10 balls in the seats and registered an .859 OPS.

These three youngsters will make Yankees’ spring training extra hot this year. And the action is just around the corner, as the Bombers’ first game is slated for Feb 21.
