The Pittsburgh Steelers will have three critical players back for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr., wide receiver Ben Skowronek, and quarterback Justin Fields will all return after missing time with injuries.
Porter missed the team’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a knee injury, which was a minor PCL sprain. The team initially thought he would not play this week either, but his recovery went faster than expected, so the Steelers’ secondary is back to full strength.
Skowronek is listed as having a hip injury but an oblique strain, sources tell PennLive. Either way, he will tough it out. He has been the team’s versatile wide receiver and played more than just out wide, but in the slot, as a fullback, and even as a wingback.
Fields suffered the same injury as Skowronek and missed two games with the issue after going down against the Philadelphia Eagles. Now that he is back, however, the Steelers will have him as their backup quarterback and could use packages for him at different times.
