The New England Patriots’ quarterback situation is stirring up plenty of conversation in NFL circles.

While Drake Maye, their 2024 draft pick, seemed to lock down the quarterback position, a new possibility is emerging as the Patriots eye the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The team might be considering a bold move: trading Maye to make room for Colorado Buffaloes’ standout Shedeur Sanders.

Sports analyst Nick Wright recently dropped a bombshell on FS1’s “First Things First” that got fans and experts talking.

He believes The Patriots could offer Drake Maye to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for their second overall pick in the draft.

According to Wright, the Titans might prefer Maye over Miami Hurricanes’ quarterback Cam Ward.

But Wright didn’t stop there – he laid out an even more dramatic scenario that would reshape the entire franchise.

“You have a chance to truly revamp the New England Patriots by going Shedeur Sanders 1, Travis Hunter 2, Deion Sanders head coach,” Wright said.

The most eyebrow-raising part of Wright’s suggestion? Bringing in NFL legend Deion Sanders as head coach after showing current coach Jared Mayo the door.

Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders continues to draw attention from NFL teams looking ahead to the 2025 draft.

The Las Vegas Raiders have shown particular interest, with news of Tom Brady – who owns 5% of the Raiders – spending time with Sanders fueling speculation about the team’s plans.

However, the Raiders’ recent victory against the New Orleans Saints might have complicated their pursuit of Sanders.

The win dropped them to the No. 8 spot in the draft order, potentially putting Sanders out of reach unless they make some moves.
