Breaking: Matt LaFleur’s Honest Takeaway From Week 16 Win Will Leave Fans Expecting Super Bowl Win

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur

It’s a perfect time to get very excited about the Green Bay Packers, especially after their incredible performance in Week 16.

Although that was just against the lowly New Orleans Saints, who are also out of contention for an NFL playoff spot, the performance shown by the Packers in the 34-0 victory gave Green Bay fans another reason to feel great about the team.

Following the Saints drubbing, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur praised his team’s balanced effort.

“What’s really cool is we’re getting contributions from a lot of different people,” LaFleur said, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). “I think that’s usually the mark of a good team.”

There is still plenty of work left to do for the Packers to reach the Super Bowl in February, let alone win it.

But their recent form is giving Green Bay fans the belief that the Packers have what it takes to go deep in the playoffs and win the Vince Lombardi Trophy at Caesars Superdome in Louisiana.

The Packers started the Saint’s game like a house on fire, scoring a touchdown in each of their first three possessions, while Green Bay’s defense also did its assignment.

New Orleans generated just 196 total yards and only got 14 first downs to 24 by the Packers.

Up ahead for the Packers is an interesting matchup in Week 17 in Minneapolis versus the Minnesota Vikings, who beat Green Bay at Lambeau Field in Week 3.
