BREAKING: NFL Insider Picks Saints to be Sleeper Team in 2025

The New Orleans Saints could make a splash in 2025.

NFL insider Rich Eisen released a list of his sleeper teams in 2025 during The Rich Eisen Show, with the Saints being his fifth-ranked potential sleeper team.

New Orleans is projected to be one of the worst-performing teams next season, with predictions for them to finish dead last in the NFC South for the second season in a row. The Saints went 5-12 in 2024 and are projected to finish with a similar number of wins, with their over/under set at 5.5 wins.

The media have been harsh when it comes to New Orleans, but the low expectations for the Saints aren’t a surprise. The Saints have a rookie head coach and will be starting a young quarterback with little to no NFL experience. The team is in the midst of a rebuilding year and despite the already existing talent on the roster, there are a lot of question marks surrounding the team.

However, New Orleans could surprise a lot of people in 2025. Kellen Moore is a respected offensive mind in the NFL and went out and drafted his choice for quarterback. The Saints still house plenty of talented players, old and young.

The Saints’ offense will also focus on a run-heavy approach in 2025. The offense’s scheme will be quarterback-friendly and hopes to minimize the mistakes of their young signal caller.

Eisen has been a fan of the offseason moves in New Orleans. The NFL Insider named the team’s talent in the receiver room and their schedule as strong points for the team. Eisen also complimented the Saints’ offense on their two-week start in 2024, naming them as the same team, just without Derek Carr.

From the signing of Moore to drafting their potential quarterback of the future, the team could shake up expectations in 2025. While it will be a long road for the Saints, the second-easiest strength of schedule and a young core can lead to the black and gold shattering expectations.
