The Los Angeles Dodgers have claimed infielder CJ Alexander from the New York Yankees, the team announced. To make room on the roster, outfielder Steward Berroa was designated for assignment.
The Dodgers acquired Berroa in May from the Toronto Blue Jays. He hit .330 in 27 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City before being designated for assignment.
