NFL Playoffs: Here’s Who the Packers Could Meet if the Season Ended Today!

Packers, Jordan Love, NFL Playoffs

Thanks to the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the Packers still have a remote possibility of winning the NFC North Division championship this season, and thanks to a ferocious defense, look like a team capable of at least mounting a charge at the crown.

However, that’s not where the Packers find themselves today.

If the regular season ended today, the Packers would be packing their bags and heading south, taking on the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That is, if Green Bay can’t catch the Vikings and Lions for the division title.

While the Vikings still have a far clearer path to the division championship and even the No. 1 seed with homefield advantage throughout the playoffs tan the Packers do, these two teams’ playoff positioning is far from set.

The Packers even get another shot at the Vikings, in Week 17 in Minnesota, looking to avenge a Week 4 loss to the Vikings, in which Jordan Love returned from an injury to pass for a season-high 389 yards.

Green Bay has certainly improved since the last time they squared off against the Vikings, and that game has the potential to have massive implications both in terms of the NFC North race and for seeding in the NFC Playoffs.
