David Bakhtiari, a former Green Bay Packers offensive lineman, threw shade at his ex-teammate Aaron Rodgers on Instagram after attending quarterback Jordan Love’s wedding.
Love, the current Packers QB, married his longtime girlfriend, professional volleyball player Ronika Stone, in a beachside wedding ceremony in California on June 29th.
Bakhtiari, who spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the Packers, posted a video from the event, which looked incredible. But he couldn’t help but take a shot at another one of his career teammates in the process.
“At least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding,” Bakhtiari wrote on his Instagram story over a video of Love and Stone during their first dance. He reiterated that comment on X.
Aaron Rodgers Gets Heat Over Secret Wedding
Aaron Rodgers, now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, quietly married a few months prior, and the lack of an invitation apparently stung for Bakhtiari.
Rodgers confirmed he got married to a woman named Brittani a couple of months ago. But he expressed frustration over public and media scrutiny, calling it “ridiculous.”
At this point, nobody really knows who, if anyone, was at Rodgers’ wedding. Perhaps Bakhtiari’s snub wasn’t intentional.
“My private life is my private life and it’s going to stay that way, and I’m with somebody who wants to be private,” the new Steelers signal-caller said.

Poking More Fun at A-Aron
It’s hard to tell if Bakhtiari is actually bitter about Aaron Rodgers not inviting him to the wedding, or if he’s just being playful.
The two played together for 11 years in Green Bay, making the perceived snub all the more notable. Bakhtiari’s comment certainly highlighted tension between the former teammates, whatever the intent.
The lineman previously commented on a post about Rodgers not having him for protection on the Steelers, and shared a movie clip in which SNL alum Kevin Nealon portrays a hippie executive in the film Grandma’s Boy.
In the clip, Nealon imagines himself swimming with dolphins, which is kind of reminiscent of Rodgers talking about being a butterfly while on Ayahuasca. Yes, that happened.
Bakhtiari had a productive NFL career, which included three Pro Bowl selections and two first-team All-Pro honors, while protecting quarterbacks such as Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love. However, injuries eventually caught up to him, and he was released in 2024.
Rodgers, 41, signed a one-year, $13.65 million contract with the Steelers and has hinted that this will be his last season in the league.
