Fans had high hopes for Drake Maye’s first season with the New England Patriots.

After all, the Patriots used a top-five pick on him, and when teams use a high pick on a quarterback, there are built-in high hopes from Day 1.

Maye had a rocky start to his NFL career, but he made it work with one of the worst offensive lines in the league.

He got better as time went on, settling into his new role and figuring out the best way to navigate with his new teammates.

Maye isn’t just adjusting to a new job in the NFL; he is newly married and ready to step into the next chapter of his life.

Patriots fans were elated to see their QB1 having fun and already thinking about football, as they believe he can help turn things around over the next few seasons.

Maye has plenty of new talent around him on offense, and with both lines making some marked improvements, this team could be a lot better in 2025 than they were in 2024.

That won’t take much, given how poorly they performed last year, but any improvement is a step in the right direction.

The Patriots certainly have their work cut out for them given the strength of their division, but if the buzz surrounding Maye is warranted, this team could be one to watch moving forward.
