Tuesday night continued spiral of the Minnesota Twins’ 2025 season.
While the Twins rallied back to make the final score close, their 6-5 loss to the Seattle Mariners marked their fifth loss in a row, and the Twins have lost 9 of their last 10 games. For all the praise the Twins received in May, that good grace dried up as they quickly fell back to being one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball.
With the losses mounting up, fans are losing their patience.
Along those lines, Phil Mackey of SKOR North had a rant that was painfully honest when it comes to the state of the Twins.
“We are getting punked by this baseball organization over the last two years, it is wild to me” 😡

Twins roasted on air by furious local host who didn’t hold back
It’s hard to point out any flaws in Mackey’s argument. On the heels of collapsing at the end of the 2024 season, the Twins opened the 2025 season with a mediocre first month of the season.
A 13-game winning streak carried them to an 18-8 record in May, but after Tuesday’s loss, the Twins are now 6-15 in June. Beyond that, it seems that the Twins are dealing with a crisis of confidence from within their own clubhouse.
Making things even worse is the indication that the masterminds of the Twins’ baseball operations, Derek Falvey and Rocco Baldelli, don’t appear to be going anywhere.
The same week that the Twins leaked the news that Baldelli’s 2026 option has been exercised, Falvey pushed back on the idea of the team being a seller ahead of the deadline.
Baldelli receiving the endorsement for 2026 makes no sense when considering that the Twins are in the process of being sold.
Under normal circumstances, the new ownership group would likely want to bring in its own executives to lead the baseball side of things.
Instead, it seems that they will be tied to Baldelli to start. Of course, despite the sales of the Tampa Bay Rays having the impression of being a good thing for the Twins’ sale, Mackey points out that prospective buyers are balking at the asking price of the Pohlad family.
