Dave Roberts threatens Padres ‘I’m going to beat your a–!’

Dave Roberts lobbed a threat the San Diego Padres’ way during the latest dust-up between the teams.

The Padres beat Roberts’ Los Angeles Dodgers 5-3 in their game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif, on Thursday night. Fernando Tatis Jr. was hit with a pitch in the top of the 9th inning with his team leading 5-0 on Thursday. That was the sixth hit-by-pitch of the series, which has been extremely tense. On Tuesday, Roberts accused the Padres of throwing at Shohei Ohtani intentionally as an answer to Tatis Jr. being hit earlier in the game.

In the 9th on Thursday, it was Dodgers reliever Jack Little who hit Tatis. That caused the benches to empty and Roberts to bump Padres manager Mike Shildt.

Roberts was then shown threatening the Padres, saying “I’m going to beat your a–!” to them.

Things settled down after that, and the Dodgers even scored three runs to make it a close game before San Diego closed it out to avoid a sweep in the 4-game series.

The Dodgers and Padres have played seven games so far this season, and the Dodgers lead the season series 5-2. They’ll face off six more times this season. You can expect some fireworks in those games.
