Two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson is open to a reunion with former Green Bay Packers cornerback and college teammate Jaire Alexander.
The two starred at Louisville before becoming first-round picks in the 2018 draft, and now Alexander is available after being released by the Packers earlier this month.
On Tuesday, Jackson pleaded with Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta to sign Alexander, a two-time All-Pro who spent seven seasons in Green Bay.
“Go get him, Eric! Love all our corners, don’t get me wrong, but go get him, Eric!” Jackson said Tuesday.
Alexander, 28, was released over a week ago. At this point, it’s unclear if Jackson’s idea will be considered by DeCosta and the Ravens, one of the top powers in the AFC.
Is there room a reunion between Alexander and Jackson in Baltimore?
The Ravens are returning veteran Marlon Humphrey and 2024 first-round pick Nate Wiggins as expected starters at cornerback, and veteran Chidobe Awuzie was signed in free agency.
The Ravens also have other recent draft picks such as T.J. Tampa (fourth round, 2024), Jalyn Armour-Davis (fourth round, 2022) and Bilhal Kone (sixth round, 2024) competing at corner. But when healthy, Alexander is a top player at a premium position.

Per Over the Cap, the Ravens have roughly $19 million in cap space currently.
The Packers wouldn’t mind Alexander landing in the AFC, although Jackson and the Ravens are scheduled to come to Lambeau Field for a Week 17 showdown on Dec. 27.
Alexander was an All-Pro in 2020 and 2022. He has missed at least 10 games in three of the last four seasons.
