Phillies Place Bryce Harper on Injured List

The Philadelphia Phillies announced they have placed Bryce Harper on the 10-day injured list with right wrist inflammation. Otto Kemp has been called up to fill the open spot on the 26-man roster. The Phillies had an open spot on the 40-man roster. Harper being placed on the injured list is retroactive to June 6. Additionally, the Phillies have optioned Alan Rangel to Triple-A Lehigh Valley and recalled Daniel Robert. Rangel came up for the bullpen game on Friday while Seth Johnson was optioned. Johnson came up as part of a bullpen shuffle earlier in the week. Zack Wheeler will need to be activated from the paternity list on Saturday by rule. Furthermore, this makes Robert coming up an interesting move. Wheeler is in line to return to the rotation on Monday at the earliest as things currently stand.
