After missing the postseason in the 2024 NFL season, CeeDee Lamb has watched the Dallas Cowboys undergo some major offseason changes.
The first decision their GM Jerry Jones made was parting ways with head coach Mike McCarthy after five seasons in Dallas. The former Packers coach was replaced by Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys‘ previous offensive coordinator.
But the Cowboys have made some big player changes, too. Outside of All-Pro guard Zack Martin retiring, pairing Lamb with George Pickens may have been the biggest.
On May 7, Jones made a surprising trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, acquiring Pickens for a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.
On Thursday, the Cowboys held their second day of organized team activities (OTAs), with both Lamb and Pickens in attendance for the voluntary practice. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, after Lamb made a mistake and dropped for a few pushups, Pickens joined him in a show of support.
“CeeDee Lamb was unable to come up with a deep Dak Prescott pass and later dropped to do some pushups,” Archer wrote on X. “George Pickens did the pushups right alongside Lamb. First time I saw that.”
