A few months ago in Valley Center, San Diego, a construction crew heard strange cries and discovered a puppy trapped between two boulders.
They quickly called for help, and San Diego County Animal Services and local firefighters arrived. After failed attempts using a rope and soapy water, rescuers finally freed the exhausted puppy after over an hour.
Affectionate but tired, the pup cuddled with an officer on the way to the shelter. Named Snack, he was cared for at the San Diego Department of Animal Services in Carlsbad, then put up for adoption once healthy.
Soon after, Snack found his forever family—and a safe, loving home.
