Year 2025 will be the third season that Aaron Rodgers is no longer part of the Green Bay Packers. He left the team in 2022 and then played two seasons for the New York Jets, something that did not help in his great legacy in Wisconsin.
Now, he is expected to suit up for the Pittsburgh Steelers although a deal is yet to be completed.
Rodgers remains a beloved figure in Green Bay. He is their most, if not among the most accomplished player in NFL history. With that in mind, will fans ever see him grace the Lambeau Field again wearing their colors
A fan asked that very question during Rodgers’ appearance at the live edition of the Ya Neva Know podcast and his answer sounds optimistic.
He even used one case of a Super Bowl MVP who went back to his team after playing one season with another franchise.

“You know, I’ve thought about that and I don’t understand what the reason for that is,” Rodgers responded.
“At the same time, I grew up a Niner fan and most of my favorite players retired as a Niner. Jerry Rice, who went to three other teams, came back and retired as a Niner. So I understand the cool thing about it, but if I didn’t do it, would that make a difference in how I’m viewed in the Packers eyes?”
Aaron Rodgers is confident about Packers Hall of Fame
Rodgers said right then and there that he does not think he needs to go back to Lambeau Field to cap off his career.
His trophy cabinet will speak for it. This is the same reason why he is confident that he will someday be inducted in the Packers Hall of Fame.
He even has a timeline for it.
“When I retire, in four years I’m going to go into the Packer Hall of Fame. May or may not get my number retired—whether they do or not that’s fine. But in four years I’ll be in the Packer Hall of Fame,” he said.

He also declared continuing affection for the Packers.
“There’s a lot of love from me and how I feel about the team. If i do or if I don’t, I don’t think it should make a difference. I’m not sure yet. If they approach me about it, I probably would.”
Right now, Rodgers believe he still has gas left in him. Everybody expects him to sign with the Steelers although he previously revealed that he is not addressing it yet due to personal issues.
