BREAKING: Patriots forgotten OL expected to return by start of 2025 OTAs

New England Patriots center Jake Andrews is expected to be ready for the start of organized team activities next season, per the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan.

Andrews suffered a torn meniscus in training camp back in August and was placed on injured reserve as a result. He was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft in hopes of adding depth behind aging franchise center David Andrews.

The Patriots have been able to find some timely center depth with the signing of Ben Brown, who made his first start of the season against the Houston Texans back in October and has served the role ever since.

Depending on the recovery timetable for David Andrews, Jake Andrews might have a real opportunity to carve out a role on the roster. Granted, he could be met with some competition from Brown and potentially even Cole Strange, if he moves to center.

But more competition isn’t necessarily a bad thing for the struggling Patriots.
