Matt LaFleur has put together an impressive run as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
After taking over following the firing of Mike McCarthy, he has proved the franchise right for believing in him to be the right guy.
While he has not won a Super Bowl, he has led a lot of successful teams for the Packers.
He’s hoping to take the next step in 2025 and become a top-tier championship contender and the roster should give him a chance to make that happen.
Since taking over as the head coach in Green Bay back in the 2019 NFL season, LaFleur has compiled a record of 67-33.
That success shows just how good he has been for the franchise.
Heading into the 2025 NFL season, LaFleur has a chance to break a huge NFL record.
Green Bay Packers HC Matt LaFleur Can Set Huge NFL Record in 2025
During an appearance on the “Up & Adams Show,” LaFleur learned from Kay Adams that with five wins he would break Don Shula’s record for most wins by a head coach in their first seven seasons.
Winning five games should be no problem for the Packers. Should they win less than that amount, it would be a colossal failure of a season.
Jordan Love and company appear to have the roster necessary to compete in the NFC.
However, they do play in a stacked NFC North division that saw three teams make the playoffs last season.
The Chicago Bears improved a lot as well during the offseason after not making the playoffs in 2024.
Green Bay should be a very good team this season and that should lead to LaFleur setting new NFL history.
