MINNEAPOLIS — Monday’s series opener between the Guardians and Twins was suspended after the third inning due to heavy rain at Target Field.
Minnesota leads Cleveland, 2-1, behind an RBI double by Willi Castro off Guardians starting pitcher Logan Allen.
The suspended game is set to resume Tuesday at 6:10 p.m. ET with the regularly-scheduled 7:40 game to follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
Both teams plan to finish Monday’s game with bullpen arms. Scheduled starters Gavin Williams (3-2, 4.29) and Chris Paddack (1-3, 4.76) will go in Game 2.
