Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott Sends Subtle Warning About CeeDee Lamb-George Pickens Duo

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are among the most-talked-about teams of late in the football world, not just because they are the Dallas Cowboys, but also because of a big move they made in the trade market.

Thinking offense, the Cowboys pushed the button on a trade that got them former Georgia Bulldogs star George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers via a swap.

Pickens’ addition to Dallas makes the team’s attack more dynamic. Alongside wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Pickens is expected to elevate the Cowboys’ offense.

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott can’t wait to get on the field and work with his new weapon, saying that opposing teams will have a hard dealing with the Lamb-Pickens tandem.

Via Michael Baca of NFL.com:

“We’ve connected,” Prescott said during a Wednesday appearance on 1310 The Ticket in Dallas. “I’m excited. You turn on the tape, you see a guy that can catch the football. You put the football anywhere in his vicinity, very strong hands, more than a 50-50 catcher. He thinks it’s his ball when it’s in the air. I’m excited for him. I know we needed some help at that position. I know that CeeDee (Lamb) needed some help. I think when you have a guy like that, it’s hard to double team two guys.

Depth behind Lamb was seen as one of the key issues the Cowboys had to address in the offseason. That call grew louder when Dallas did not use a single pick in the 2025 NFL draft on a wide receiver.

But with the Pickens trade, Dallas satisfies that need and provides Prescott another dangerous weapon he can use to slice through opposing defenses.

In 2024, Pickens led the Steelers with 900 receiving yards to go with three touchdowns on 59 receptions and 103 targets while averaging 15.3 yards per catch.
