Taylor Swift appeared to break her social media silence by “liking” a video on Instagram.
The “Cruel Summer” singer’s last major appearance was at the Super Bowl on February 9, when she cheered on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The Philadelphia Eagles won the game 40-22.
The Context
On March 30, Travis Kelce’s brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Kylie Kelce, welcomed their fourth daughter: Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce. On Instagram, Swift “liked” their April 1 announcement.
The pop star, who has not posted on her Instagram grid since December, appears to have been silent since. Swift also hasn’t posted on X, formerly Twitter, since November or TikTok since October.

What To Know
In December, Swift concluded her record-breaking Eras tour, which began in March 2023. Amid her almost two years of touring, Swift often appeared at her boyfriend’s football games.
However, the singer has had fewer public appearances this year. Deuxmoi, a celebrity gossip site, posted a video in March of Swift and Travis Kelce getting dinner in Park City, Utah.
On Wednesday, @chartstswift, a Swift news account on X, formerly Twitter, commented that the billionaire’s Instagram account was still active.
“Taylor Swift recently liked this reel on Instagram,” the post said.
The Instagram post included a video of triplets asking the virtual assistant Amazon Alexa to play Swift’s songs for them.
“Found my triplets trying to get Alexa to play Taylor Swift,” text overlaid on the clip said.
“I think we’ve got a couple of #swifties on our hands @taylorswift,” she wrote, tagging the Pennsylvania native.
At the time of publication, Korzon’s Instagram post had racked up more than 89,400 views—which was enough to get Swift’s attention—though it’s unclear when exactly she “liked” it. Meanwhile, @chartstswift’s post had an additional 250,200 views.
Newsweek has contacted Korzon via email for comment.
Fans aren’t used to such silence from the singer. In April, X user @emilykmay wrote alongside a photo of a car with a “Rep TV” license plate: “Taylor swift hasn’t posted anything in 84 days and i was driving today and saw this and thought I was hallucinating, like i had been in the desert for week without water.”
“Rep TV” is an abbreviation fans use for the album Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
What People Are Saying
X account @ThePopFlop wrote on March 21: “Taylor Swift has officially gone 100 days without posting on Instagram. This is the longest hiatus from posting, since the ‘Reputation’ hiatus in 2017.”
User @gavbreakfavtoys wrote on April 30: “Just a reminder we are one third into the year and Taylor swift has not posted once on Instagram.”
User @itstaytaylors wrote on April 25: “4 months without the eras tour and taylor is nowhere to be found.”
What Happens Next
Last year, the Chiefs’ preseason kicked off in August, with their first regular season game against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5. The team’s 2025 schedule has not yet been released, but fans may see more of Swift when it begins.
