On Wednesday, the Steelers announced the release of defensive tackle Montravius Adams.

Adams was drafted in 2017 by the Green Bay Packers and spent the first four years of his career with the team.

In 2021 he signed with the New Orleans Saints, but was released mid-season and signed with the Steelers.

He’s played for the Steelers for the last three seasons.

In his career, Adams has played in 96 games, starting just 26 of them.

He has 123 tackles, two forced fumbles, and 2.5 sacks.

Adams is now cleared to sign with any team he chooses as a free agent.

Meanwhile, the Steelers might be gearing up to sign their own free agent.

After months of negotiating with Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback might be ready to sign with Pittsburgh.

The Steelers notably only took one quarterback during the 2025 NFL Draft, leaving them with one open spot.

“I think that he will be a member of the Steelers.”

It is expected that Rodgers will give the Steelers an answer by the time OTAs start.

For now, fans are reacting to the release of Adams and sharing their thoughts about Rodgers’ potential signing.
