Once Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders finally heard his name called in the NFL Draft, what was once an uncomfortable viewing experience turned into relief.
Shedeur, the son of Dallas Cowboys icon and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, was projected as a potential top-5 pick, but sat through the first two days of the Draft without getting picked.
The storyline dominated the headlines and broadcast coverage until he was finally taken by the Cleveland Browns at No. 144 overall in the fifth round on Saturday.
Sanders hosted a draft watch party in the Dallas area to celebrate his achievement with friends and family. The celebration came after Shedeur’s weekend was interrupted by a prank call by an NFL employee’s son posing as a team executive.
But then, the celebration was quickly back on after Sanders was chosen.
Shedeur hosted a lavish draft party in Dallas late Saturday night, where various sources say Dallas Cowboys’ stars Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb were “listed as attendees”.
Sanders was the life of the party, seen flaunting stacks of cash stuffed in Louis Vuitton bags. He’s also seen wearing the Browns draft hat given to him just a few hours earlier after his selection.

Other notable figures at the party were rappers Kodak Black and Yung Miami. The event was hosted by DJ Hollywood Bay Bay at Dallas-based nightclub Hide & Seek.
Despite the rumors, we have seen no photos of Prescott or Lamb at the event.
So “listed as attendees” could still mean they were on a guest list, but did not show up.
Sources say Deion was not in attendance, choosing to let his sons have fun after what was an unexpected and stressful three-day Draft for the family.
