UPDATE!! Patriots make flurry of impressive roster moves immediately after 2025 NFL Draft

Washington Football Team v New England Patriots

The 2025 NFL Draft is officially over, and it’s difficult to argue that the New England Patriots didn’t hit a home run with their approach.

There were high expectations for the new regime led by Mike Vrabel to deliver a better class than last season, highlighting Eliot Wolf’s involvement in a hopeful redemption arc this time around.

Fortunately, as the draft went on, it was nailed pick after nailed pick, addressing almost every vulnerable area on the roster with an elite talent to bolster the team.

That was certainly the priority offensively, making Drake Maye the ultimate beneficiary of that approach, and the defense was not neglected in the process.

They were even able to address special teams by selecting their expected next starting kicker and long snapper, two positions that were not on the big board of projections for Vrabel and Co. to consider throughout draft weekend.

Because they did so well with the 11 picks they drafted, it should make for a much more interesting decision process when it comes to signing undrafted free agents to finish the day.

Patriots add impressive UDFA signings to their roster after the 2025 NFL Draft

Right after making the final pick of the draft, the Patriots got to work by adding some of the top undrafted players to their roster.

So far, they have already made some excellent signings, with many believing the 2025 roster could see multiple UDFAs make the team.

LB Cam Riley, Florida State
OL Jack Conley, Boston College
CB Brandon Crossley, SMU
RB Lan Larison, UC Davis
S John Minkins, Cincinnati
WR DeMeer Blankumsee, Memphis
WR Efton Chism III, Eastern Washington
FB Brock Lampe, NIU
QB Ben Wooldridge, Louisiana
G Cole Birdow, Merrimack
TE CJ Dippre, Alabama
TE Gee Scott Jr., Ohio State
DL Wilfried Pene, Virginia Tech
S Jordan Polk, Texas State
WR Jeremiah Webb, South Alabama
ED Eljiah Ponder, Cal Poly
DT Jahvaree Ritzie, North Carolina

*List is subject to change, as some are not UDFA signings and are actually mini camp invitees*

One of the more notable signings is quarterback Ben Wooldridge, who will now be the QB3 behind Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs.

He replaces Joe Milton III in that role and will serve as a developing backup for the Patriots if he makes the final roster.

Another standout player is running back Lan Larison, a player who already has Patriots fans excited about what he could potentially bring to the offense.

His unmatched production at UC Davis seems to have gone under the radar with most teams, allowing New England to potentially make the best steal of all UDFAs.

More names that have garnered some rave reviews are fullback Brock Lampe, mainly due to the Patriots finally bringing back the beloved position to the team, tight end C.J.

Dippre because he was widely projected to be drafted, and wide receiver Efton Chism III, who stood out with his performance during the Shrine Bowl earlier this year.

Confirmed mini camp invites
DL Bryce Ganious, Wake Forest
FB Duane Martin, Louisville
DL Hector Johnson, Endicott
