Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow exited Sunday’s game in the second inning after suffering an apparent injury. He threw a few warmup tosses before exiting the game.
Glasnow was replaced by right-handed pitcher Ben Casparius.
This marks the second straight start that Glasnow has left a game early because of injury. The right-hander’s last start against the Texas Rangers was headlined by leg cramps, but Sunday’s short outing appeared to be an arm issue.
Glasnow made his departure prior to the top of the second inning. He allowed two earned runs on two hits and one walk before exiting Sunday’s game.
The right-hander has a 4.50 ERA with 23 strikeouts this season. In 2024, Glasnow’s season also came to an untimely end when he was ruled out for the last two months of the regular season and the postseason with an elbow sprain.
The hope is that Glasnow’s injury is only a minor setback. The Dodgers already have one starter on the injured list in Blake Snell. They’re also without Shohei Ohtani, Clayton Kershaw, and Tony Gonsolin, the latter of which is expected to return this week.
