The New England Patriots have made their fourth pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, and they once again went offense. Following a series of trade-downs with Carolina and Kansas Chiefs, they selected Georgia center Jared Wilson with the 95th overall pick in Round 3.
Wilson, 21, was one of the highest-graded centers in this year’s draft.
Spending his entire four-year college career at Georgia, he started off as a backup and saw minimal playing time over his first three seasons. However, he had a breakout campaign in 2024 that included his first 12 career starts as well as second-team All-SEC honors.
While not the tallest of center prospects at 6-foot-3, 310 pounds, Wilson showcased good functional athleticism and proper football intelligence in his one year starting for the Bulldogs. The expectation therefore is that he will compete for New England’s starting center job right away.
The Patriots released longtime starter and team captain David Andrews earlier this offseason. They also signed veteran Garrett Bradbury and have Cole Strange, Ben Brown and Jake Andrews available as well.
The Patriots are next on the clock at No. 106 overall in the fourth round on Saturday.
