The Green Bay Packers are just two days away from opening the 2025 NFL Draft and are scheduled to be on the clock with the No. 23 overall pick.
As the draft gets even closer, the future of Jaire Alexander has continued to be a storyline to monitor.
Alexander has been rumored to be on the move since the beginning of the offseason. Brian Gutekunst has said that he’d be willing to bring the star cornerback back for another season, but that does not seem to be the most likely outcome.
With that being said, a new trade prediction has been made that would see the Packers ship Alexander to the AFC in a deal with the Buffalo Bills.
Green Bay Packers Predicted to Make Huge $84 Million Trade with Buffalo Bills
Richard Louis of Dairyland Express has suggested a major trade involving Alexander heading to the Bills.
Green Bay Packers Receive: 2025 Fourth-Round Pick (No. 109 via Chicago), 2025 Fourth-Round Pick (No. 132)
Buffalo Bills Receive: Jaire Alexander
Over the last two years, Alexander has played in just seven games in each of them. If he hadn’t been having issues with availability, it’s likely that Green Bay would not be considering moving on from him.
Despite only playing in seven games during the 2024 season, the 28-year-old star cornerback performed well. He recorded 16 total tackles to go along with a fumble recovery, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and seven defended passes.
Alexander may not be the player that he once was due to his lack of playing time. However, if he can stay healthy, he’s still more than capable of making a huge impact and being a star defensive back.
While this is just an idea, it would make sense. Buffalo could use some secondary help and the Packers would likely have interest in acquiring two extra fourth-round picks this year to add more young talent to their roster.
