Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have one of, if not the most public relationship in the sports world, as they are always in the public eye, no matter where they are. But the past few months since the end of the NFL season, the two have been lying low.
Swift’s friend Gracie Abrams, who is also a singer herself, recently talked to Billboard about her friend and how impressive it is when she deals with all of the eyes on her.
“I feel like I learned a lot from her, obviously,” Abramsshared, “but one of the things that I’ve felt lucky to observe is how extreme it can be [for her]. It helps right-size my own s***…
It’s like, I really don’t have it that bad in terms of invasion of privacy, you know what I mean?”
Even when Swift goes to NFL games to support Kelce, it seems as if everyone is paying attention to her, including the people that decide what goes up on the jumbotron in the stadium.
But she doesn’t ask for any of this attention to be on her, and has said in the past that she tries not to think about it.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift told TIME back in 2023.
After a season filled with attention on the pair, Kelce and Swift have been embracing the chance to lay low until the former has to get back out on the field and help redeem the Chiefs loss in the Super Bowl.
