The Los Angeles Dodgers have gotten off to a strong start to begin the 2025 MLB season. Through their first 21 games, the Dodgers have gone 15-6.
As of right now, they are in second place in the early-season NL West division race. Fernando Tatis Jr. and the San Diego Padres are in first place with a 15-5 record.
Clayton Kershaw has yet to pitch this season for Los Angeles. He has been working his way back from a a torn left meniscus in his knee and a ruptured plantar plate in his toe. Some big news has been given to update Kershaw’s status.
As shared by Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register, Kershaw said that he will make his second rehab start on Tuesday. It has not been decided whether that start will be in Double A or Triple A.

While he may not be the same pitcher that he was a few years ago, Kershaw could be a big part of the Dodgers’ World Series hopes this season.
Last season, the 37-year-old left-handed starter made just seven starts. He compiled a 2-2 record to go along with a 4.50 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, a 2.7 K/BB ratio, and 30 innings pitched.
Back in 2023, he made 24 starts and went 13-5 with a 2.46 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP, a 3.4 K/BB ratio and 131 and 2/3 innings completed.
Looking at those numbers, he’s still more than capable of making an impact. Having him back on the mound would be a major positive for Los Angeles.
