Jordan Love is among if not the one who got the most ridicule among Green Bay Packers players after the team exited the 2024 playoffs in the first round.

Head coach Matt LaFleur defended his main quarterback but he also pointed out the things he needs to improve as they try to improve in the next season.
Love made headlines this offseason for some activities not exactly related to football but behind the media spectacle, he’s been busy. Grinding is what the 26-year-old has been doing.

“I’m really just looking forward to getting back,” Love said during an appearance at the Kay Adams Show.
“OTAs are around the corner. I’ve been grinding this off season, been down here in San Diego, working on the field, working on a lot of different things, as far as footwork and just getting back to throwing the ball and enjoying this process. … But like you said, it’s around the corner, and I’m not worried about us being slept on. I know what type of team we are. I know who we got in that locker room.”
Expectations are high on Jordan Love
Love played hurting in the last few games of last season and many hope for him to make a grand comeback.
His teammate Josh Jacobs knows what he is capable of.
“He was hurt a lot last year, but like, once he really got comfortable in what he want to do, I’m telling you, he’s one of the ones. I be seeing him make some throws, and I’m like, ‘D—!’” Jacobs said back in March.
Current QB rankings has high expectations from him.

He is in the second tier of top quarterbacks according to Pete Dougherty. His high ranking is related to the huge contract he signed.
Love got a big contract in the offseason but it’s paid in a way that doesn’t hinder the Packers from doing anything in free agency, if they choose to do so. Green Bay only has $32 million charged on the cap at quarterback for the 2025 season. With a full season of health, Love should look more like the 2023 version, making the throws he still showed he could make with fewer forced passes leading into turnovers.
