Dallas Cowboys: Fans Have Negative Reactions To Dak Prescott’s Bold Claim Amid Injury Rehab

Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott is still recovering from surgery in 2024 to repair a hamstring injury that limited him to only eight games in the last campaign.

Although he’s not yet fully cleared to do full-contact activities on the field, Prescott recently grabbed attention with social media posts showing him working out in the gym.

He turned more heads when he made a big claim about his readiness to play amid his journey to full recovery.

“If I had to play a game today, I definitely could do that,” Prescott said last Friday, per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “It’s about moving forward healthy to make sure I can play 17-20 times when the time is right.”

Fans have a lot to say about the former Mississpi State Bulldogs star’s claim.

“You could, but how “‘well’,” said a fan.

“And he added: we’d lose!” another one shared .

Commented an X user, who’s clearly not a Prescott fan: “If he had to lose a playoff game today, he definitely could”

Via a different fan on social media: “And throw two picks in the red zone”

From another social media commenter : “Way overrated and way overpaid but on the bright side he can’t win in the playoffs…..enjoy”

Prescott still has plenty of time to heal up and be ready for the 2025 NFL regular season. It remains uncertain whether he will be able to give it a go in Week 1 of the new campaign, but the focus at the moment is to complete the healing process to help him get back to his top pre-injury form.

In the 2023 season, Prescott played 17 games and passed for 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns while leading the league with 410 completed passes.
